About the artist

Biography

A Palestinian researcher and art therapist, born in Khan Younis. His practice brings together the visual arts, education, and psychology, with a particular focus on trauma therapy, behavioural violence, and the motivations behind extremist thought. Since 2015, he has worked in art therapy with children affected by trauma. He has also helped children develop their creative skills and artistic tools, and has published intellectual and political essays on Palestinian society, education, and psychological development. He continues his work in psychological care and trauma recovery, using art as a space for expression, healing, and reclaiming the capacity to live.

On Trace of The Tide, he says: “From afar, language became my home, while my home came to embody longing and memories of youth. Even the faces of the neighbours turned into a green song that neither withers nor leaves the memory, waving to me from the distance whenever the sun sets or the wind carries the scent of Trace of The Tide.”
